Vanshika joined Collaborative Insight Counseling Associates (CICA) as the practice’s very first pre-LMHC Psychotherapy in July 2023.

Born, raised and initially trained in India, Vanshika cultivated a rich and diverse experience in clinical and educational roles. Given her strong desire to bridge the gap between the Eastern and Western perspectives in the field of mental health, Vanshika emigrated from India to Boston, MA in mid-2021.

In her therapeutic practice, Vanshika draws from a comprehensive range of therapeutic approaches, including psychoanalysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and expressive arts. Specializing in working with college students, young adults, and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and nationalities, Vanshika has developed expertise in addressing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress.

I will honor your unique self-expression as you delve within to nourish your strengths, foster self-love, and discover new paths for well-being.
— Vanshika Jain, MA

Vanshika views the relationship between therapist and client as a journey undertaken together. She firmly believes that clients are the true experts in their own lives, and therefore, approaches therapy as a collaborative process. Understanding that every individual is unique, she strives to create a compassionate and strengths-based environment where clients can process their lived experiences.

Rooted in the idea of social justice and advocacy, Vanshika recognizes the cultural limitations inherent in every therapeutic approach. She values the importance of addressing systemic issues in a safe and inclusive space where clients' diverse backgrounds and experiences are respected and celebrated, ensuring that therapy is tailored to honor the individuality of each person she has the privilege of working with.

Vanshika earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Psychology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Gujarat). Vanshika went on to complete her second Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College. Vanshika is now actively working toward gaining additional clinical experience, in pursuit of obtaining her Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification and being able to independently serve the Greater Boston community. In service of her commitment to lifelong learning, she is also planning to join the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute (BPSI) later this year.

Fun Fact: Vanshika often dreams of creating a delightful fusion of her hobbies, by opening a cozy café where she can combine her love for delicious food, showcase her arts and crafts, and adorn the walls with countless posters referencing her favorite TV series.
